Situated around a 5-minute stroll from the 5th-century church "Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore", the comfortable 3-star Hotel Tirreno Rome offers a shared lounge and a theme park. Opened in 1900, this Rome hotel welcomes guests in the Coschuetz district, boasting a quiet position 1.1 miles from Church of the Gesu, which is an earthly imitation of the divine glory.
The hotel is conveniently located approximately 20 minutes' walk from Doria Pamphilj Gallery and approximately 25 minutes' walk from the aqueduct-fed rococo Trevi Fountain. The smoke-free Tirreno Rome is situated 0.2 miles from Brancaccio Theatre and within easy reach of Cavour subway station. The classic property is situated about a 10-minute drive from the zoological garden "Bioparco di Roma", and Termini bus station lies just a 10-minute walk away. The Rome hotel is not far from Roma Termini railroad station.
The Tirreno Rome welcomes guests to 44 rooms fitted with an air conditioner as well as a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. These rooms have private bathrooms with a separate toilet and a shower, along with hairdryers and towels. All rooms also face the town.
Each day at the accommodation starts with a free buffet breakfast. Guests can relax in the on-site lounge bar. It also features a lounge for guests' comfort. Hotel Tirreno is a few moments from Falls Road italian & Irish Pub, which serves delectable meals.
Review by hotel critic
Upon stepping into Tirreno Hotel, I was met with a warm welcome and efficient check-in process at the 24-hour reception. The central location near Termini station is a rarity, offering easy access to Rome's iconic attractions. The room was adequately sized and surprisingly quiet, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. However, the firm mattresses may not suit everyone's preference. The daily maid service maintained cleanliness, although sheet changes were not daily. For those seeking basic amenities, the standard breakfast selection and complimentary Wi-Fi are satisfactory. The garden area adds a lovely touch, perfect for unwinding. While some aspects such as the bathroom size and towel quality could be improved, the overall value proposition is commendable for budget-conscious travelers. Exploring Rome's treasures while enjoying a comfortable stay at Tirreno strikes a fair balance between cost and convenience.
